Pascal's wager, yawn. Pascal's wager assumes two things which are incorrect: 1) There are only two options, god or no god and 2) believers lose nothing by believing. There are an infinite number of possible gods, there could even be one that punishes believers for being gullible and rewards atheists for thinking independently. It's a crap shoot no matter what you choose to believe. Secondly, assume for a moment that there isn't a god, this would mean that theists have wasted their entire lives, which could've been devoted to improving the world instead of talking to their ceilings.
Have a nice life. :)

I don't NEED anything to believe in. I only want truth & wisdom. When I die, I will begin again with my next life. There goes your concept of nothing happening when I die if I don't believe in a 'god'!

Since we're atheists, we believe nothing is going to happen when we die. We don't say "well maybe there is something in the afterlife", we believe NOTHING is going to happen. It's that simple. But that's not the only reason we don't believe, it's more complicated, which you won't understand, because you have different beliefs.

Pascal's Wager. Been posted about a million times here before. Faith out of fear is worthless.

Pascal's wager is a dead issue.
It has been refuted. If you do not know what it is look it up.
And then ask yourself: If you were god, would you not be able to *tell* that a person was not sincere?

Good try, Honey, I'm feeling your hearts desire to help, and I see you're brand new to Yahoo, but this type of argument just won't cut it here.
God Bless you

Sure, if you're gambling that the religion you pick is the right one, and that the god you pick is the right one, and that the way you worship him is the right way, and that he doesn't mind hypocrites at all.
