Has anyone ever experienced that? I'll see a bunch of white flashes out of the corner of my eyes when there is nothing around to make a flash. I won't see them again for awhile. Then, for no particular reason, I'll see a bunch more. Really weird. Anyone have any ideas as to what could cause that?

Yes, I had the same thing.
It turned out for me that, I had high blood pressure.
But it can also be caused by fluid buildup behind or in the eye.
But I suggest you see an eye doc.

You need to go see an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) ASAP. I have worked in an ophthalmology office for 5 years and it could be a retina problem. If it is not taken care of quickly it can cause permanent damage to your vision. You can prob. call the hospital and ask for the eye doctor on call if all the offices are closed right now where you are. It could be nothing but it is better not to take chances with your vision.

I have it fairly regularly- kinda like the black floaties... mine, it turns out are a warning symptom that I have a migraine coming on. Cold wash cloth over my eyes, in the dark seems to help.
Wouldn't hurt to see the eye Dr., but I did recently and asked and it wasn't an eye thing. My sweet Mama had a torn retina and her symptoms were like she was looking thru a dirty window. It was a painless fix, but it takes time to heal. Good luck and God bless.
