my best friends boyfriend said something really nasty and mean to me. I was crying over it for for like 3 days straight. I know that if i tell her what happened, she would dump him. But i dont want to tell her because he makes her happy, and i don't want them to break up because of me. What should I do???

ps. i am a teenager and i no this may sound like a stupid problem to you, but right now it is a HUGE thing in my life. And i dont know what to do about it

It really depends on what he said but my rule, as a guy, is
never let a girl get between me and my best friend.
So that similar rule should probably be able to be applied to your situation.
Don't let him kill your friendship with your best friend.
If he's really that nasty that she'd dump him over what he said then they are not right for each other anyway.
Tell her!

If it really bothers you, you need to tell your friend about it. The decision to dump her bf is completely up to her. Real friends can talk about anything--what if she found out later and then was upset because you didn't tell her? Remember-be who you are and say what you feel, because those that matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.

If this person is your friend, your best friend; you would be able to share what problem you have. Tell your friend the truth, and let her decide what to do. Don't ever feel stupid about the way you feel. Talk to your friend

maybe you should all sit down and talk about the problem and work it out...im, 28 years old and have had a few relationships.... iv ran into that same problem, the best way to settle the differances is if you all get together in person and talk about it...its the best way trust me...good luck to you

that does not sound stupid at all. maybe you should tell your friend about it because he might do that to her plus that might show the real him . may be your friend doesn't really know him that well even if he does make her happy.

Friends before boyfriend. Tell her what happened. What the guy did to you is innapropriate and wrong and you shouldn't let him get away with it.
