homemade mashed potatoes are always the best but when you don't have the time to peel, boil, drain and then mash them. You better use the instant ones. I haven't tried any of the ones in the frozen food section. I always use the instant ones from the box. Good ole potato flakes for me.

Homemade Mashed to be sure. You can brown some fresh chopped garlic in a little olive oil and add that to the potatoes. Yummie!

in my opinion, no longer realy. i don't be conscious the version and neither does my relations. except for the purple potatoes, i'd not use those, yet it truly is because my reports with them are they don't flavor good, like they are VERY potatoe tasting and that is frustrating to operate style into the dish attempting to make it flavor a lot less potatoee.(And by technique of this I advise like taking a potatoe and ingesting it undeniable.) Russet works properly regardless of the reality that. Yukon gold will artwork completely high-quality too, you in common words gained't finally end up with realy comfortable, mashed potatoes. yet this easily relies upon on what texture you want perfect so, can't realy inform you what potatoes to apply. Idaho potatoes artwork properly too, they are akin to russet. So in case you want the smoothest potatoes, i might want to choose russet or idaho, then steam them, no longer boil.

Garlic.

2 Large Potatoes peeled a cut into cubes
enough water to cover them
when you can stab the potato and easily remove the fork (without any problems) drain water and retern to heat.
add 1-3 cloves of garlic. stir in and remove from heat. Add 2eggs and 1/4 cup milk. Beat in and serve.

Home made is way better! Into each cupful of mashed potatoes stir a pinch of garlic, a tablespoonful of finely chopped cooked broccoli and a tablespoonful of crumbled crisp bacon. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Homemade are definitely better then store bought mixes. However store potato items can come pretty close to the real thing providing you follow the directions to the tee. I am in food service and the vendor told me this answer. The same follows with store bought cake mixes. You can add however spices to your liking and butter. bon appetite

I prefer making my own mashed potatoes.. the store dried instant mashe potatoes are YUCKY! I can add stuff to my home made mashed potatoes to get a better taste.. the boxed potatoes will ALWAYS BE BLAND no matter what you do to try and fix them!
