Question

No, don't take it seriously, it's supposed to be funny. each day we'll have a matchup, and u yahoo answerer people will vote and decide the winner, who shall advance to the next round so we can determine the ULTIMATE DEITY OF THE UNIVERSE.

none of these stupid well-he's-the-only-god-that-exists copouts. let's pretend all these people got thrown into some weird universe and duked it out. and yes, probably god will win because the polls will get stormed by christains, but at least u'll all have obeyed the rules.

For those that don't know, jim_darwinism is atheism acting like a religion. jim_darwin is god/prophet/founder.

You either got to pick a rep from each pantheon, their chosen champ, or let them all go at it I say

First I want to address all of those people who have said things like, "we don't need to answer this" or "I'll pass" or "well we know the real answer."

Great, congratulations. Apparently you are all smarter than even the most brilliant men of our era. But how about you just not say anything if you're going to say you won't say anything.

Let me walk through my line of reasoning... let's see...

Ahura Mazda, the mayan pantheon, and chinese pantheon I just don't know enough about to really judge. norse are out to me since they are all mortal and almost all, in fact, die at ragnarok. Egyptians... well they "kill" each other sometimes too, so i'm a little hesitant to the full extent of their powers... the Greek pantheon I don't think can really work together all that well, although they have been unified in times like the days of the titans. Jim_Darwin just seems, well, pretty damn worthless and powerless, as much as I like that religion... ah the good ol' days of long ago.

So now I'm down to the hindus and God. Let's move away from the idea of an omnipotent God for now, ok? otherwise let's face it, why have this argument? Now the power he shows is often fairly similar to the hinduism pantheon, creation, destruction, death, all of that stuff. It all comes down to how well the hindu gods and goddesses could orgainze. If you have two equal sized armies, one divided and one whole, dividing can either aid you in flanking them and all of that jazz or hurt you in making seperate, vulnerable units to be attacked. So it all comes down to if the hindus could outflank god or not, and I'd say yes. Who knows, maybe if they got FSM and the flotilla of pirates on their side they could squeak out the win...

and this has got to be either a one-on-one, or pantheon againt pantheon.

I like the one-on-one.

Let all the players here pick a pantheon they want to vote for, and they can pick their "rep", with the thumbs-up numbers determining who's the winner. Then let folks vote on another pantheon's "champ", and pit the two against each other.

And we can each justify our champ's victory by saying how that Deity would handle the battle.

Personally I have always been partial to the Norse Pantheon. Thor with that big hammer and lightning bolts? Got to kick some butt. Besides, the women in those armored brassieres are hot. And even with a soundtrack by Wagner (so ponderous!) they're just more fun.

i like the Little River Band. My in demand track is "Cool exchange". it fairly is a sluggish track yet once you % some quiet tranquil time for your self, it fairly is the track to take heed to. LOVE THEM !!!
