Don't go for:
- Anything deep fried, e.g. calamari, soft shell crab chicken wings.
- Curries, these are actually quite fattening because they contain a lot of oil.

Try:
Steamed fish
Steam tofu (also good for your skin)
Stir-fried veg
Coconut rice.

Pad Thai with chicken (oftentimes noodles and chicken with some greens and floor peanuts jumbled in) at a three.5 warmth megastar point is my popular. My husband continuously orders Pad See Yew (sp?) with beef at some 4 megastar warmth point. the two are scrumptious and Thai eating places have a tendency to furnish you sufficient to take homestead for yet another meal. purely toss in a warm skillet with slightly of water to make the sauce come again.

I would make friends with a very good waiter and ask his opinion. Thai food can be very, very spicy to Western tastes. Thai-Style is OK though. Also, find out what is being served before your order it.

If you need to eat healthy, go with Yum Woon Sen (spelling may vary)

It's known to be the most healthy among thai dishes.
This is what they serve patients (who need healthy food and on diet) at the hospital.
It's little noodles w/ vegetables and some meat (0% oil).

Generals Chicken, the sauce is out of this world most thai restaurants have it an it's the bomb. Make sure you ask for the chicken to be extra crispy an put the sauce on it, not on the side-it seems to taste different when sauce is on the side..Good Luck

Tom yum soup.
Delicious, and provides lots of veg and liquid, both really helpful if you're trying to eat more healthily. You can get variations with chicken in, with fish, with prawns. The flavours are spicy, hot, and fresh. Yum indeed :)

See if they have some steamed fish. Pad thai is their famous dish and it actually has very little oil, but it has peanuts (some fat) and sugar.
