I have 4 Type S Alpine Speakers, im deciding if i need a deck or and amp to power these to the fullest. Although a deck would be alot easier of install im willing to buy an amp if it shows better gains in clarity/loudness/bass increase.

Here are the specs of the speakers:
-Handles up to 250 watts peak power (50 watts RMS)
-Frequency response: 35Hz - 30kHz
-Sensitivity: 92dB
-Impedance: 4 ohm

Here is the amp im looking at:

Peak is worthless - that is the point at which the speaker coils will melt down. 50 RMS is the number to work with.
Generally, the amp's RMS output should be significantly greater than the speaker's RMS ratings. Audio is an AC signal - swinging from - to + voltage/current. A continuous signal of 50 watts would deafen you in a car!!!
If RMS output of 10 watts is loud (it would be on any system inside a car) - doubling the volume without distotion will require TEN TIMES the RMS amp output... so.... 50 watt RMS-rated speakers.... 200 watt + amp is not out of the range at all.

I would advise against buying stereo equipment from ebay. Stick with a store that has an extended warranty such as crutchfield. You get what you pay for with stuff like this. Visonik makes very high quality amplifiers.
