I would first like to ask you if this is about Lincoln-Douglas debate about the new University Interschoolastic League Resolution:
An individual's obligation to society ought to outweigh society's obligation to the individual.
Well here it is, it is our duty as americans to vote and it is also our duty to volunteer for organizatinos like the armed forces or police force or fire department, this is our obligation, if we do not do this, than we cannot possibly have protection.

Your only duty to your Country is to be a law abiding productive member of society.
Hopefully some feel more duty that just the minimum . Like protecting and serving and helping those in need. Also having a say in things by voting.

Duty to Country is a personal thing. Some people think that sitting on their fat behinds and collecting welfare is their duty. Others think that serving in the military is a way to serve their country. What ever your preference its all about what you thin service to your country is. Its personal.

Our duty to our country is mutual.
It is the duty of the United States to protect its citizens and it is the duty of its citizens to protect the United States.

Friend, I do not know who said 'Breathes there a man with soul so dead that never to himself hath said, this is my own my native land". Our duty is to be decent and honest citizens and speaking for myself having being brought up in a christian country, render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars and to GOD the things that are Gods. Just an opinion, NO DISRESPECT.

As an American - to support the Constitution of the United States and the various Amendments.
My motto - "I will die for your right to say whatever you want, and reserve the right to consider you an idiot for saying it."
Freedom to to as thou whilst. And to harm no one.
