I am out of paper shredder oil!?

Is there anything else I might have at home that I can use until I can go to the store?

Spray some WD40 all over a piece of paper and shred it. That works for me.

Machine oil will be fine for short term. Shredder oil used a special formulation that leave no residue on the cutters. Others oils will attract paper dust and can clog the cutting head.
