If you've seen that movie did you or did you not agreed with what Maximus did when he opposed to obey the new Ceasar??? While you were watching that movie did you not root for Maximus?? If so it's the same concept as this soldier who has his own belief that this war is wrong and doesn't want to support Bush/Ceasar.

My dear friend, can any person who applies for a job without any pressure (volunteers), in any position of the country, and when after being fully trained with much expense is then asked to do his job, then questions why he is being asked to perform his DUTY. Only an opinion again.

The Army officer you are speaking of took an oath to obey the orders of those appointed over him. And every military officer knows the possible penalties for dis obeying lawful orders.

And if it escaped you...Gladiator was a movie, a made up for entertainment story...it wasn't real.

The disobedience of a commissioned military officer in time of war / combat is a serious real life event.

And if you insist in wanting a comparison response. Maximus NEVER swore to obey or support the new Caesar...but the military officer did take an oath to obey the orders of those above him. So it appears you entire argument is specious.

I can't believe you just compared the War in Iraq to a movie. No it's not the same concept.

The guy is a hero, simple as that, the war is based on lies & forged documents, & the troops are being used as oil pipeline guards.
