How to add music in microsoft powerpoint in the slides,or slideshow?

i use microsoft powerpoint 2003 and i made a slideshow of my photos and i want to add music to the whole slideshow. I know how to add music but it will only play it for one of my slide not all of the slides. Also i have a photo cd of my pics and i want to add music and some effects how do i do it?do i use powerpoint or microsoft word or corel snapfire. like add music to all of the photos one song or songs playing on the entire cd and effects for tranisition of photos. thank you please i need help!!!

Select the slide where you want the music to begin. Then Select Slide Show, Slide Transition. A task pane will appear on the right side of your screen. Under Modify Tansition, select the down arrow next to Sound: Scroll all the way to the bottom and select [Other sound]. Browse to the song you want to play. Next make sure that the Loop until next sound box is checked. This will now play through the entire presentation or until you tell it to stop.

To stop the sound or change the sound you just select the side you want and through the Slide Transition task plane, either select [No sound], [Stop previous sound] or select another sound as you did before.

In the menu bar click insert button in that click "movies and sounds "tab you have many options so that you can add to your powerpoint slide.After selecting any one of the options you will be asked that to play the sound track automatically or by clicking.By selecting any one of these you can play the sound during slide show.
