If the houses are searched through in the middle of the night there is less chance of them hiding explosives or weapons.

The problem with that is everyone and their grandma (literally) own an AK-47 in Iraq, and its legal to do so. Unless you have 10, then the military siezes them.

The explosives and weapons are already hidden - what would be the point of searching all houses otherwise? DUH !

As I recall, and correct me if I am wrong, didn't we go in to search for "weapons of mass distruction"...? What did we find...?

Ah that's right - NOTHING !

The new "surge troops" should be re-deployed back to AFGHANISTAN - the REAL SOURCE of the "war on terrorism" in order to replace the US troops George W Bush ordered withdrawn from AFGHANISTAN once he'd secured the military help of fighting UK/NATO troops, leaving them grossly under-manned and under-resourced to continue a more Just conflict - in order to maintain our democracy and peace.

What would you say were every house in USA were to be searched for weapons - legal and illegal?

GONG!! WRONG!!! The military did NOT go house to house in WW2!! Where do you get that pile of bovine excrement misinformation? Do you have ANY idea how many towns in Iraq? How many houses?? You are not even close to being realistic.
