its really weird i burp infront of my friendss all the time and i just say "excuse me" and everyone gets on with their lives. I hardly ever fart infront of my friends but if it happens and I say "excuse me" its such a big deal geezee so saying "excuse me" doesnt work for me.

Don't fart in front of them just hold it. If it happens to slip out then say exuse me. Everyone farts so i dont understand why it would be a big deal to them lol

Or
Try to convert it and make a loud one into a silent one. No one will ever know. Just tighten your bu** cheek when you feel that you are going to pass gas.

Walk the other way...just kidding. There really isn't anything you can do, but laugh or get really embarrissed. No matter how old you are bodily noises are always funny around friends.
