Christianity is TOTALLY based in Paganism. Christians started denying their Pagan roots in about 350-400 "AD". Church documents stated, 'co-opt all Pagan practices you can and call them Christian, and if you can't co-opt it, say it's blasphemy and demonic.' I think it was St. Augustine who started that garbage.

Christianity is awfully Pagan, but they just like to think they aren't. Christ was a cool guy, very liberal and caring and quite the magical practitioner himself. He was anti-establishment, pro-downtrodden, and he cared about the poor, the mentally ill, and women (sometimes, a person was all three.)

"Christianity" has morphed into something very far away from Christ over the years. I doubt they'd like Christ very much if he showed up at a "Christian" church. Christ is my favorite religious role model, but I won't go to a Christian church because I won't espouse all their hypocritical lies and bullsh!t.

As far as the Bible (Old and New Testaments)--don't take them too literally. Not only do they not hold up when taken literally, it's a total cop-out to just believe them as facts. The Bible is, at its best, a jumping-off point for discussion and research and introspection. Nobody should just swallow it and go no further--you don't develop spiritually if you just accept it as, well, "gospel truth."

As far as God and products go, God is the goodness that flows through us and it's a part of us and we are a part of God. Don't take the idea of God too literally, either.

Trying to explain the world is never foolish.
Trying to use an anthropomorphic being to explain things we have answers for, is.
Trying to use same god to explain the terrifying question of where we go when we die is not foolish, it's needy. And everyone has their emotional hang-ups.
And most people since the dawn of consciousness have had this very normal ache.
I still think it's foolish. But the lack of hope in my life for that reason is something I would not wish on my worst enemy. ANd besides, if it keeps people in line, keeps people thinking there is a fate that awaits them based on their behavior, hey
I'm all for it!

Well, you can find both on Earth. Ultimately, the truth is that we are God's creations. The false and human-like depictions of God from men are only temporary illusions that blur the truth.

We are all created by God...
"And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God,so that you may know you have eternal life."

GOD YES HE DID CREATE US. AND NO, THE WORLD DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO EXIST. WE DID NOT EVEN HAVE TO EXIST AT ALL. THE BIBLE JUST SHOWS THE THINGS PEOPLE WENT THROUGH DURING THAT TIME. TELLING US ABOUT LIFE IN GENERAL.....WELL, ALL I KNOW IS THAT I HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO AFTER THIS LIFE...........SPENDING ETERNITY WITH JESUS CHRIST
