I've had an older camry 1995, great car, low cost to operate and very little problems, just regular maintenance and good gas efficiency. I like the new design. It's different and makes the vehicle look like a bigger vehicle. I would expect the same quality and dependability (if not better) than the previous generations. Makes a Good family car or just a midsize car for anyone. Also got Motor Trend award for Car of the Year.

The Camry has major build quality and transmission issues, not to mention a very poor crash test rating. Motor Trend tends to favor the imports since the magazine is run by a bunch of yuppies who really don't know much about cars. Check out Edmunds.com forums under Camry troubles.

well in my opinion i dont like the toyota camry for several reasons.....my father rented one two weeks ago to go to vegas and when u drive it on the road it sucks.....the handling is not good..... second of all the interior is plain i dont see wats so good about it....third, it already had a SAFETY RECALL on the air bags so u might deal with more problems in the future, i hope not, but it might happen, the price is too expensive, i'd rather buy a Ford Fusion with leather for almost the same price as a base camry...like 18,000 bucks and lastly a lot of people have one... its like everyone having a RAZR then after a while they start getting messed up....

I agree with Sal
But you don't have to take my word (or his) for it ...Just go to the National Highway Transportation Safety>> Office of Defects Investigation website :
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/results.cfm
You can look up & read the ever mounting list of safety related formal complaints by actual owners of the "all new & improved" 2007 Camry.
There are 99 complaints so far.
After you read all those reports......go back & look up the '07 Ford Fusion........
What ? Can't find any complaints ? Oh that's right....because there are NONE!
May I also refer you to another question today ?

The '07 Camry is rather ugly and bulbous. It just says "old-fogie" to me like a Buick. I don't like the way Toyota's drive, they're too slushy, poor handling, ride quality etc. Honda's are much better when it comes to design and engineering.

Has been one of the best cars available for many years, still is... every other manufacturer wishes they had cars built as well. Just dont buy right when the modesl come out, demand is always high and prices are too until supply is plentiful

I dont own one but my cousin writes for MotorTrend and he said it was one of the best cars out there for the affordability. There is a reason they named it car of the year. With so many different options of internal, external and interior configurations there is no other car like it. Love the looks, and above all it is a toyota!

I think it is ugly! I'm sure it is a really nice car to drive and all but Toyota really missed the mark on the exterior design!

I don't like the base models, they look a bit boring. The Sport version and the Luxury versions look more appealing.
