You didn't mention going to court...........unless you went to court and were found guilty, you don't have a record .
"If there was no fine, no plea, no imposition of punishment or exoneration by a court then there IS NO RECORD because NOTHING HAPPENED."
EDIT>>>>>>>>>>>>>
My apologies, as John S pointed out I am "partially" wrong...........There will be an ARREST RECORD, but NOT a RECORD OF CONVICTION unless you are convicted (which is what I was referring to. He is right about the other part, as much depends on state/jurisdiction. He should know more about this than me, but he should have also pointed out that I was "partially" wrong, not just "wrong".

Actually, domestic/ family violence is one of the misdermeanors you will have a hard tim removing. Some of the lesser misdermeanors are easy to get off after a few years. Domestic Violence usually is not, as there is a good chance it will happen again, and again, and again. They want to keep these things on record.
You went to jail because you allowed yourself to be provoked. They took you in because you were the first to physically attack. Anything after that is not really important. This is becoming more common, because a lot of ladies like youself think that it doesn;t matter if they lay a hand on their husbands, and when he gets angry, they call us. If you were the first to take a swing, swipe, slap, or attempt to choke, you're going in. We are equal opportunity when it comes to this these days.

If you've been charged and found guilty, then the answer is No. If your under the age of 18 then there is a chance you can get it removed. Good lesson learned and hopefully you have learned from that. Many times a women thinks she can assult the man and get away with it. WRONG. A man does not have to endure assult. Alcahol has played major roles in Domestic Abuse. Stop drinking and you won't end up in jail.

Granted, we're only hearing your side of the story. Women have been successfully charged with spousal abuse in the past.
Having said that, making you walk home 5 miles barefoot is pretty outrageous. Are you living in Afghanistan or something?? Talk to a woman's rights advocate and get a good liberal lawyer to go after these jerks. Oh, and talk to any media outlet that will listen. Newspapers, radio, TV, and online.

I see JT has given his wrong answer again. If you are arrested, there is an arrest record. You don't identify your jurisdiction, so I don't know what possibility there is of getting the arrest removed from your record if you are not charged with or convicted of a crime. In California, unless you are a juvenile, the chances would be low.

sounds like a "civil infraction", like a rushing fee ticket, with a non everlasting custody arrest. You pay a superb or get a court docket date in case you elect to dispute the info. The info are in all probability those: you have been a disorderly man or woman and interfered with a police interest. There are any variety of conceivable defenses (you have been insane, you probably did not know they have been police, the guy wasn't your husband and you have been being robbed by some stranger pretending to be him, and so on). not "understanding" it replace into against the regulation is very almost on no account a protection. because of the fact SSN and top are actually not oftentimes area of the violation (i.e., it is not significant how tall you're or notwithstanding in case you truly have an SSN, in case you have been the only one there inflicting a commotion). on the different hand, if there have been six same human beings there and the police actual made a mistake in arresting the incorrect man or woman because of the fact of flawed identity, then the identity components *might* replace right into a controversy. Thank goodness the police have been there. in any different case there is not any telling what you have executed. This jogs my memory of the recent case the place the law enforcement officers have been referred to as for a "housebreaking in progression" in Cambridge, MA, the place it seems it replace into the owner who had hassle with a jammed lock. He replace into rude and loud to the police and alter into for sure arrested. He then went on a noisy tirade approximately being arrested for being "a black guy" in his very own residence. yet because of the fact he replace into interfering with the police doing their responsibilities he replace into held for 4 hours. specific, somebody had made a mistake in reporting him, yet he had no mind-blowing to scream at them and dare them to arrest him in his very own residence. quotes have been dropped. His case gained national interest (because of the fact he replace right into a Harvard professor being an entire moron) and he have been given lunch with Obama, who curiously likes to cling out with finished morons.
