Ok, I have had a very irregular period ever sinc I got off the depoprevera shot a couple years ago and now i only get my period like evry 4 months and now when I get it, it is really thick and sorry if too much info. but its starting to scare me. Is the blood being super thick mean something is wrong or could there be an explanation that doesnt involve any kind of disease? Please help if you know anything. Thanks

It's normal to miss periods after stopping birth control, and it's not all that odd to have thicker clotting during your period either. But ...

Talk with your OB/GYN about a condition called Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome. It's a hormonal imbalance that is often treated with low doses of insulin.

Aside from missed periods other symptoms can include weight gain, hair growth in unwanted areas, sluggishness. There are just a few very easy tests to do and you should ask to see an Endocrinologist who works with conditions like this.

It's a very common condition, and easily treatable.

Even if this isn't the case - you still need to see your regular OB/GYN to determine the cause.

Your body is trying to get itself back into a cycle .. maybe think about seeing a herbalist that specialises in female reproductive health .. there are some great herbs which can really help your body set itself straight again .. doesn't sound like disease just trying to normalise itself ..relax

You should talk to a doctor about your problems IMMEDIATELY. ONLY A DOCTOR can tell you if something is 'wrong' with your reproductive 'cycle' and organs. Sorry, but that IS the BEST answer I can give you.
