I have Windows ME. (No I can't afford to ugrade too XP so please don't suggest that)
Some pictures on my computer from the My Pictures folder end up in the windows background option for the desktop backgrounds. (Active Desktop-Customize My Desktop-Backgrounds) Does this same thing in the screensaver option as well.
How do I stop these photos from automatically saving themselves there? This causes a problem when I try to move my photos into other folders that I have created to keep the pictures organized. If the picture is in the desktop background options I get an error message in My Pictures Folder when I try to move the picture to another folder saying can not move source file may be in use.
The only way I have found to get theses pictures out of the desktop background options list is to delete the picture from my computer .But I want to keep these photos . What can be done to stop this??

Just to confirm.... ME does suck.

But for you, you may have a program putting them there. I have see soem of the software for digital camera put photos there when the setting aren't modified.

But you can just keep deleting them and then drag them from your Recycle Bin to your My documents folder.
