If your child also qualifies for the Earned Income Tax Credit, you could be eligible for $1,845.

It depends... among other things, on your marital status and filing status. If your status is single or head of household, you wouldn't owe any income tax so would get back anything you had withheld for federal income tax. You would probably be eligible for an Earned Income Credit that could be as much as $1845. If you're married filing separately, you would probably still not owe any tax but would not be eligible for the EIC.

all of it. For this year, don't have so much deducted. Pay yourself, not Uncle Sam. A tax refund is a poor way to save.
