Maybe you should monotor what she is watching a little closer. As far as the talking back, my 3yo tells us that shes not our friend anymore and goes back to her room... we just say thats fine, Im your parent first then your friend... about 15min later she comes in the room and says shes our friend again.

Well, first you have to decide who is the parent and who is the child. Don't get irritated... control your daughter. If necessary, give her a little slap on the cheek. It won't hurt her, but she will get the point. She will be shocked and her eyes will get double their normal size, and then tell her than she is never to talk to you like that again.
I can almost guarantee you will only have to do that once. Well, at least until she becomes a teenager.

don't take that junk from her. my son is the same age and he tries to do this and sometimes he says funny sh it and i have to try so hard not to laugh.
seriously don't laugh, say that she is going to stop talking back or else she will get a .....spanking, time out, priveledge taken away. if u want this behavior to stop u need to do it now. my cousin used to let her daughter talk to her however she wanted. now she is a nine year old brat who no one can stand to be around for too long.

I have a 3 year old who was doing this recently. I would tap his hand and put him in time out and told him when he was ready to say sorry to let me know because talking back hurts mommys feelings. He would feel bad, say sorry and give me a hug. Just be firm and hold your ground. Good luck!

I would not bribe her because you don't want to get into that habit because she'll know that if she does anything bad, you'll give her something to get her to stop - therefore, she'll keep doing things because she knows that she'll keep getting things. They understand alot more than we give them credit for. Ask her why she said what she did, tell her that it was wrong and why it was wrong... if she does that again, she'll be punished..like a time out or something. Also let her know that if she acts like that, she won't get to watch TV anymore.
