Since your problem is fairly recent, I would guess you're at a time in your life when hormonal changes are surging. If this is so, there are many things that could be causing your acne, ranging from stress to even a deficiency in vitamin A.
The toothpaste and honey remedies are natural remedies that either address oiliness (toothpaste acts as a drying agent) or infection (honey is said to contain natural bacteria-fighting compounds). So, if you are looking for natural cures what might help with drying out are lemon juice (for single pimples, apply with a cotton swab), vinegar, a paste made of baking powder, rinsing with lemon water (just mix water with some lemon juice; got this from a Japanese friend) and for anti-bacterial help, you might consider consuming more food with garlic in it as it also has natural bacteria-fighting compounds. As a side note, I'd also recommend eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. Tomatoes are really good.
Anyway, one thing that will surely help combat your acne is to keep your face clean and oil-free (at least keep it at its minimum).
The best way to do this is by following the regimen "cleanse, tone, moisturize." This is the concept behind more expensive treatments such as Proactive, but you can also put together your own "kit" from store bought brands such as Clean and Clear, Almay, Neutrogena or other popular brands.
Instead of a plain moisturizer, try to find one with acne-fighting ingredients and when looking for a toner, try to find one that is non-drying or moisture-renewing as this product, by nature, has the tendency to dry up your skin anyway.
Try making a habit of taking a mild facewash (with scrubbing beads or one that exfoliates) with you to your shower. Your pores are more open during a warm shower and will make your skin more prone to deeper cleansing. As your skin clears, you can then use a face towel (applying slight pressure) to help manage blackheads, which may also be part of what's causing your acne.
Good luck!

Im not sure about it, but i have a feeling toothpaste will just dry out your skin. Honey is a good moisturizer, but it all depends on your skins reaction. I've had bad acne since i was 9 years old and only recently has it gotten any clearer. I tried all the over the counter drugsthere were, and even dermatologist perscriptions that only made it worse and prrescripted pills from the dermatologist that made me sick. Then i just went to washing my face with soap and water and putting acne fighting moistureizer on my face and it started going away on its own.

A dictionary.
If you meant "ants", try Raid (TM).
If you meant "acne", try asking a dermatologist. Most of the idiots on Yahoo! Answers will just give you an answer that doesn't work, or is snarky, like mine.
Also, I've never heard of toothpaste or honey getting rid of acne (altho the ancient Egyptians DID use honey as an antibacterial!). I think that mebbe the people who told you to use toothpaste and/or honey are just prankin' you -- they wanted to see if you are stoopid enough to walk around all day with toothpaste and honey on your face.

if i were you i would try Neutragena Rapid Clear face wash. thats what i have been using for about five years now and i have no complaints. it keeps my face clear and not really dried out either. also, exfoliate your face once a week will help it to. use an exfoliant like St. Ives Apricot Scrub or a home-made brown sugar scrub made out of 1/4 cup brown sugar and 3 teaspoons milk. Also using rubbing alcohol of a night on your face will help dry and clear up your acne but it is also very drying, so you will want to use a good moisturizer. Toothpaste also works pretty good. I have better luck with the rubbing alcohol but it can dry my face out if i get to using it to often. Hope this helps!

Hmm...I have been suffering from ance as well. I went to the dermotlogist today and she put me on Minocycline and also gave me a topical cream...its new. Its called Ziana Gel. This has been my third day and I am seeing results already. Go to your dermatologist and ask about this gel...its amazing.. I tried to take care of it on my own again...but it got worst just like you described. There is no cure for acne...it can only be treated. Maybe in time was we get older it will diminish completely. Good luck!!!!!

Stressed? That does a number on me..they say you're body will produce more oils when you're freaking out about something. See a dermatologist! They have the best and strongest stuff! Cetaphil is a great facewash, along with Clean & Clear astringents! Take care

I think you should see a dermatologist first to see if maybe you are allergic to something. I have really bad acne too. I started using murad about a year ago. I'm not sure if it will work for you, but it has helped me and I have tried everything. I hope this helps, and I hope you find what works for you!

I'm 25 and from time to time I will get outbreaks. I use clinique products. they have a product called on the spot healing about $15. It works for me, it dries the blemish and usually gone by 3 day. you don't need to see a Dr.
But if you have serious Acne ou can see a Doctor and get cortizone injections right on the blemish to reduce swelling.
