i recommend beer, it really works! DO NOT PUT EGGS OR MAYO IN YOUR HAIR IT JUST MAKES IT SMELL BAD. also try rinsing your hair in cold water or washing your hair in good bottled mineral water. it makes it super healthy looking and shiny. i also drink 2 table spoons of black strap molasses, they use this trick to make horses coats shinier, it works on humans to!

there are a lot of methods that are supposed to make your hair shiny, like rinse it with really cold water and blow dry on a cool setting, rinse your hair with white vinegar, apply a small amount of baby oil or extra virgin olive oil to your hair like a conditioner, and put honey in your hair. chamomile tea with a little bit of honey and lemon juice could help to lighten and brighten blonde hair if used often. or you could simply go out to the store and buy a shine serum or spray (you can find them all over the place) and apply that to your hair to add some extra shine.

when iwas younger my mom would rinse my hair after washing with plain white vinegar. no, your hair won't smell but it will shine. this was before i started using conditioner though. i suppose you could use it after conditioning too.
