Easiest way to determine if what you are doing is a sign of trichotillomania is to ask yourself one simple question...When you think of pulling out hair, if you were to restrain yourself from doing so, would the urge to do so continue to get stronger...to the point where you have nothing else on your mind but pulling hair?
Tricho is an anxiety type disorder that exhibits similarities to OCD and Tourette syndrome, in such a way that the "internal feeling" when attempting to prevent the action causes you to feel uncomfortable. When a person has OCD, they have to perform an action or though process to prevent something from happening, otherwise they get an growing urge to perform the action or thought process. When a person has Tourette syndrome, the "tic" of let's say rapid eye blinking can be controlled, but if the person has the urge to blink their eyes over and over again quickly, and then keep themselves from actually allowing the tic to happen, then the urge to blink rapidly will escalate to the point where they would blink faster and harder than if they had initially just given into the urge....and either way, the tic will eventually happen...which in reality also makes the urge an uncontrollable one.
So, if your hair pulling can relate to any of those examples, then it may be trichotillomania.

I think pulling any sensitive hair, like pubes or eyelashes [I moisturize my lashes, take good care of them and would never pluck them!] is a problem.
Even if you do it once or twice.

Does it interfere with your daily life such that you're so focused on your eyelash/pubic hair pulling that you aren't getting things done or it's interfering w/your social relationships? Are you leaving yourself bald with all this plucking? If your answer to those questions is no, then the answer to your question is no.
