have you moved or vacationed somewhere with a change in elevation- that will happen to me when going into the mountains- chewing gum helps lessen it.

I know people's ears pop from the change in pressure in airplanes, , and after swimming under water,,,so it sounds like somehow you are gotten some air or water in the ear canal. Chewing gum helps equalize air pressure,,,and if it is water, that will naturally drain. Of course, if this is accompanied by pain, and lasts a few days, consult your doc,,,,you don't want to risk it being an ear infection and getting worse cause they hurt a lot!

You have liquid behind the eardrums. The tube draining the ear--going to the throat is plugged with liquid. If this fluid should get bacteria in--as so often happens in small children--you will get ear aches. You need to get an over the counter decongestant. Sudafed will dry up the fluid but I prefer to try decongestants and let it drain rather than dry it up. (At least this is best in children--doctor advised)

Its probably just your ears still trying to equalize after the flight you were on. In some cases, it could be a problem with your sinuses draining in your ear. If i were your shoes, I would see a doctor just to make sure its nothing serious

try a decongestant...remember your ears, nose, and throat are connected. You're probably congested
