I'm having my wisdom teeth pulled out because the dentist says I need to. Should I get them all pulled out at once or should I do 2 at a time? I know it varies from people to people but how much pain will i be in. I remember my sister had all 4 pulled out at the same time and I don't remember her being in much pain at all.

The lower wisdom teeth are the ones that have the loger recovery because of the bone thickness the uppers are a peice of cake and you will most likley have no pain at all with them, My best advice would be to go through it all at once so that way you don't don't have to go through the injections twice also.

you should pull out all 4 wisdom teeth at the same time. That way you do not have to deal with the pain again. Its hurt after but the dentist will prescribe amoxicillan or motrin to stop infection. You should take the medicine as prescribed. 2 weeks later you should feel better

I did them all at once. Actually I only had three wisdom teeth. That got me a lot of ribbing - you know - people saying I was only three fourths as wise as most people. Anyway - I did fine. I went back to work the next day. I've been told I have a high tolerance to pain. Think back to when you were a kid.... when you fell off your bike and skinned up your hands and knees - did you cry and lay there - or did you get up and get back on your bike? If you didn't just get up - you might want to have them done two at a time. But hey - don't listen to me - I'm only three fourths as wise as the other people on here. ; >)

I just had one (1) my wisdom teeth pulled last week. i had local anth. which means i can feel the dentist pulling and drilling my teeth. I think the pain is manageable. dont worry.

Since i dont have any private insurance cover and to reduce the cost , i let my one wisdom teeth to be taken out. so COST is a factor.

If you are covered by private insurance, why not finish it off at once. no worries later. pain is just a fear. dont worry so much. its part of the package when u seeing a dentist.

Get rid of them all at once. I had my top two done and will soon do the bottom two....don't do it that way. Don't worry about the pain either. The dentist gives you something good like vicoden to help with the pain.

I had all 4 cut out- they were impacted. They actually use a hammer and mallet to break them up if there's bony impaction.
It can be really rough for some people. It wasnt bad for me. I would definitely do it all at once. I had a friend 2 weeks ago got all 4 of his out, and he was fine.

Just get them all done at once and get it over with, if it hurts for the first two you wont want to go back. Just take regular panadeine forte, and rinse your mouth out with salty water.. dont drink for 1/2 an hour afterwards so the salt can do its job.

I had all my wisdom teeth taken out at once. My teeth didn't bother me, but I had this terrible headache. I'm not sure if my wisdom teeth caused the headache or not.
