I lie a lot and recently i have noticed that sometimes i lie without meaning to. I have read sites about tics and other signs of tourettes and most of them ring true. Has anyone encountered symptons like lying

No. It is not a symptom.

My son has Tourette's and he says he doesn't lie as a tic. He did say he sometimes lies because he's not paying attention. That would be ADHD. But lying usually has a motive behind it -- and if it doesn't I'd say you have more serious problems than Tourette's.

Tourette's tics are more like quick, uncontrollable movements. A lie has to be premeditated and well thought out, usually. Chronic lying is a disorder in itself.
