Lots of people do that. The same way lots of people have to chew off the edges of a biscuit and then eat the middle. I have to eat all my Mc D's fries before I start the burger or it feels wrong. It could be a touch of OCD but I doubt it. Even if it is, it is only really a problem if it is controlling or having a detrimental effect on your life.

Not if your behavior is limited only to peanuts and M&Ms. But if you have other repetitive behaviors or mental acts in an effort to prevent or reduce distress or prevent some dreaded event or situation then yes.

Yes these are symptoms of OCD. If gone untreated it does have the possibility to get worse. There are medications that can help. Wellbutrin and Luvox are 2 antidepressants that are used for OCD.
Talk with a doctor and he/she may give you samples of the med for you to try before you invest your money into a med that is not effective.

well, for starters, since it is called obsessive compulsive DISORDER, you should know that the American Psychological Society only diagnoses things as disorders if they are hurting you or someone else. Otherwise, it could be called eccentric, but its not a disorder.

I am thinking not.....Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder can run your life...you don't seem to be at that point. I have ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder. It did run my life, but I have long since learned how to deal with it.

Sounds like it to me. If it does not bother you don't worry about it.
