Wait until you are 18, preferably older if possible.

I wanted tattoos like that when I was your age, and looking back, I'd be beating myself with a shoe had I actually done that. Put more meaning and thought into it and you'll be happier.

Generally speaking, studies show that people ages 13-22 tend to be much more impulsive and unable to make wise life altering choices than someone who is older. Not to say your choices suck, but definitely that you should think about them VERY carefully.

Everyone reacts differently to getting a tattoo, some people think it hurts, some do not think it hurts. The cost depends on many things, including the size and location of the piece. Ultimately, it's up to the artist to give you a price. You can get an estimate if you bring your ideas or a picture of the piece to a local artist and ask what they think as far as costs go.
If you're going to get one, wait until you're a little bit older. Also, there is so much room for creativity when it comes to getting a tattoo. Don't just select something that someone else has, be creative/unique and make it meaningful. Remember, it's going to be on your body forever.

When I was 14, I wanted a tattoo so bad. My brother told me to wait until I was 18 and if I still wanted it, then I should get it. I did that and I got my first tattoo when I turned 18. I am 30 years old and I have a total of 3, that I can hide for certain occasions. You need to really wait and pick a design that means something to you and a location for it that is appropriate. Don't put it on your face or front of your neck, you will regret it. I have 2 friends that did that and they hate it now. Please wait until you are older.

I think freshman in highschool might be a little too young, i'd wait till your 18, and that's only three or four more years. But if you're a girl, don't get it on your stomach if you're planning to have a baby because your stomach will stretch out the tatoo, and it won't go back to normal and it will be really deformed. But if you're a guy, i guess it really doesn't matter, but i would get it somewhere that's not exactly visible because it's not good to have tattoos showing while you're trying to find a job or something. And if you want to take it off later in life, you could, but it's supposed to be a very painful process. And getting to tattoo is also a very painful process. And plus, it's like getting ink poisoning because they're injecting ink in your body, so it might not be exactly healthy. But if you really truely want a tattoo, i guess no one is going to stop you, but at an age of highschool, there are alot of things you might regret doing later in life. Well, i hope you get your problem solved!

if you're not sure if you should get one then you definitely should not. also you should wait until you are older to get one because it is not legal for you to have one yet even with parental consent and i would be very suspicious of any place that would tattoo a minor like that. also your tastes will change as you get older and you may not want the same things as you age. i have been where you are. when i was your age i wanted tattoos so bad. but i waited til i was 18 and even the tattoos that i got then aren't a good representation of who i am today at 25. i'm sure you'll do what you want to do but i think you should wait.

The outline hurts the most. It feels like a knife cutting into your skin. When they do the colouring (if needed ) that doesn't hurt. At least that is how I found it to be. It all depends on your pain tolerance.
Make sure it is what you want. Just by asking the question I'd say you aren't ready yet. JMO
Good Luck!!!!

I was about your age when I said that I wanted to get my first tattoo, I am glad that I didn't...I waited until I was 23 to get my first tattoo...I have no regrets. If I was you I would wait until your a little older and if you still want to get a tattoo it may not be the ones you have picked out now...

The decision on getting a tattoo for me ultimately depends on WHY I want it. I don't suggest getting a tattoo just because its trendy.
The pain depends on your tolerance for pain and the locaiton. My first tattoo on my shoulder kinda felt like a tickly sensation. The one on my foot felt like i had just been cut (repeatedly). So it depends on how much fat is in that region.
The cost of the tatoo really depends on the size, the amount of detail, and the tatoo artist (skill, reputation, standards)

If you really want one noone can stop you but think how it will look when you are 50 or even 80. Will you still like the design in a few years? I suggest if you really want one pick a design and if in a few years you still really want that same design then what can stop you..... At least wait till you are 21..........

Please wait till the end of high school.
I'd say even older, because removing them is a real royal pain, and you're too young to really understand the way things affect you later in life (believe me, I remember!).
At the same time, we ask juniors in high school to figure out whether to go away for 4 years of college, so I guess that's a good age to begin learning consequences!
