Did you call it ping pong or table tennis?
Do you remember the way the paddles smelt and felt in your hand..... making those great smashes..... how fast the game got when you got good......those net and table clipping shots....
It is all coming back to me, playing in the basement with my brothers. It was so great.
Did all kids have ping pong tables in thier basements? Did you?

I didn't have a ping pong table or I don't think any of my friends had a ping pong table either, but we all had our own home made cricket bats that we were very proud of. Somehow i associate ping pong with china and I'm not fond of that country since 1962.

i had one but i screwed my girlfriend on it and broke it. Now i am missing a ping pong paddle and a box of ping pong balls

I wish. The coolest thing we had in my basement was a cardboard house in which my brother and I acted out bizarrely fractured fairy tales.
