My boy is joining the navy. He will be an airplane electrition.... he wants to know how much money he would be making when he gets out of the navy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! thank you!

Actually, dze, that's not true. I write résumés for people who've just gotten out of the military, and _all_ experience is worht mentioning (though not all the acronyms). He may need to get civilian certification in order to do get a job, but having 5+ years as an airplane electrician in the Armed Forces can be a great adavantage over other candidates for the same job. The median salary is $39,960

More than the pay in the Navy because the salary in the military is not that high since the work thereat is for service to the country.

The average salary in avionics is around $40-45,000.

unless he specifically studies and documents to be certified, his experience in the navy will not land him a job in the civilian world ....

needs to see if they are going to get him his liesen to work on aircraft. If not he will still need that when he gets out.
