So let's assume the farmre is on side A and he wants to go to side B.
1. The farmer and the duck get on the boat and go to side B. The fox and the corn stay on side A.
2. The farmer goes back to side A and gets the corn to side B. When he gets to side B, he takes the duck with him back to side A.
3. When he gets to side A, he leaves the duck on side A and brings the fox to side B.
Then he goes back to side A and gets the duck.

Why would the farmer want a fox anyway? I think he should loose the fox, eat the duck with the corn, and sell the boat. Then he can look into a more suitable career involving less stress.

i would take the duck first, leave him there, take the seed, grab the duck on the way back, drop off the duck, get the fox, drop off the fox, get the duck, the end

but i am not a farmer so i really wouldn't be stuck in that kind of situation, plus i cant swim so i would be afraid to ride a boat, lol

Evidently, the man has to go along either way…the boat won’t go on its own.
So he takes the duck across, comes back, takes the grain across, brings duck back,
takes the fox across, comes back and gets the duck.

Then he is tired, after all he is only 50 lbs.. he goes to sleep and the duck eats the grain, then the fox eats the duck.
When the man wakes up, he sees what went on, and killed the fox and ate it.. he now weighs 200lbs.

Someone's been watching The Office!

First he takes the duck across with him. Then he goes back and takes the corn, drops it on the other side and goes back with the duck. He drops the duck where he started and goes back across with the fox. He drops the fox on the other side, goes back and finally goes across again with the duck. Done!

The farmer borrows his neighbors boat in exchange for the fox. He saves the duck and corn for his supper.........

first, you bring the duck across the lake... then you go back across... then you bring the sack of corn across the lake and on your way back to the other side of the lake, bring the duck... then you bring the fox across the lake then you go back and finally bring the duck again... :)
