Okay, first of all, I don't think you should worry about Arthur Melvin Harris IV at all. Its what boys his age do. Its completely normal, have no worries. There could be plenty of worse things that he could be looking at on the Internet. As for you're daughter, If the computer belongs to you, you can do what you like with it. BUT, i think you should talk to her about it first. You don't want to start a family feud here. Tell her why you think it would be more appropriate for there to be a parental block. AND, I'm sure that you can find a parental block that will allow you to set myspace and youtube, etc. to safe mode (will let you access those specific sites).

9 in 10 kids, between the ages of 8 and 16, have viewed porn online. Its no big deal. If you think this really is important, confront him about it. Or, ask your daughter to confront him. If she doesn't want you to, and doesn't want to, then listen to her. She has her maternal instincts too.

your daughter is not exactly what i'd call responsible! There are ways to override the parental controls. net nanny, for example, has a feature that allows you to log out of kidmode and into adult mode, allowing the adults freedom online while blocking inappropriate content. You can not, however, rely on a program to babysit your kids while online. Nothing can replace good old fashioned parenting.

This is a bit of a weird family. First off your daughter was 13 when she had the chilld? Wow! And then why in God's name would you put your grandson's name on a public site like this? Do you even have a clue about what kind of weirdo's can look up that name and find him?? Do you care?

It's her child that's all there is to it. Why doesn't she set up his own account on the computer so she has one area and the boy has one area? Then on his side she can put up blocks. That's what I do.

I still can't believe you'd put his full name on a website. A lot of worse things can happen other than him looking at nude photos!

Whoa, and you're saying porn's innapropriate while your own daughter had sex?

I understand that the porn thing is innapropriate and discipline him, and tell him that it's wrong. He'll probably know. He might have an addiction, just don't spread it too far. He's probably not a bad boy, it's just that hormones start working up and it's a need. Just reminds him that it's wrong. And shouldn't your daughter be WORRYING about this?

Were they pretty women? Sorry just joking, I think there are a lot of worse thing he could be looking at. I think the best thing to do I spend time with him when he is on-line explore the net with him. Maybe he has questions, try not to be narrow minded, try to help grow and understand the world.

If this is your computer, you can do whatever you like. If it is her computer (or his) than you will have to let her handle it. Most parental control software will let you configure sites that can be permitted (so your daughter could still be permitted to go to myspace, etc).

first off, with a name like Arthur Melvin Harris IV, you should just be happy he's not gay.

second, get with the times grandma, they have porn for preschoolers now.

third, if it's not your computer, don't do anything to it.
