I'm just curious about hearing stories. It's crazy, because I do believe in miracles. If so, was it due to the Rehab given? or did it just happend all of a sudden. How common is it, that someone who is paralized someday has a chance to walk again???

Oh! I'm not paralized. But I know someone who was shot in the back on his T 12, very young person. He is very depressed, and more also because he is Incontinent, he now uses a catheter (urinary). But I was just wondering.

I heard a story a few weeks ago on Good Morning America about a 3 or 4 year old that was paralyzed and now can walk. i don't remember the details. All I remember is that it was funded by the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation

My cousin was paralized in a wreastling accident in high school. He had a slipped disk in his neck. Doctors were able to get it back in place and he was fine after that. It only pinched the spinal cord not cut it.

It happened to me. I fell off a swing when I was 10 yrs old and was paralyzed for 8 months. Although, I do remember the doctors poking my feet but I couldn't move them.. I did loose my reflex, they can tap me on my knee all they want now and my foot does not move on its own. I fake it because if I don't they keep hitting me.

my uncle was paralyzed from the waist down after an accident. after extensive rehab which took a few years...he was able to walk with a cane. everyone is different...but i don't think it could happen all of a sudden and it depends on where their spine was injured.

All of the people I know that were paralyzed due to stroke never regained mobility and are now dead. That is not to say that a miracle won't happen in your case though.
