Why wont you guys ever tell your girlfriend how much you paid for a gift?
For example.
My ex-boyfriend bought me some jewelry( dont know why) and he wont tell me how much he spent for it. Nor will he tell me why he bought it.
And am not the kind of girl to break up with someone because they spent too little or too much on me.
I prefer that a guy spend $10 on me and thats about it. Gifts dont matter.

Hi naughty,

First, he's your EX. ok,
For example.
Well, maybe it's his way of giving you something to make him feel better.
I am not sure what happened to the relationship, and really it's not my business, however, there are only a hand-full of reasons why, Ex's buys gifts for someone they are no longer with.

If it bothers you enough to ask this question then my only suggestion is to give it back. But remember he may have done this for his own reasons.

I hope you, well

well, if gifts dont matter, than the price shouldnt either. us guys wont tell u how much we spent on a gift for the same reason u girls wont tell us how much u spend. i recently bought my gf some jewelry and she loved it. she was so happy. that was worth the money i spent( and it was a nice amount). idont tell her how much i spent because i dont want her to think that she has to spend the same amount on me. if she found out how much i spent, i wouldnt mind, but its not something i would let her know. maybe he didnt tell u because he got some fake stuff for real cheap. maybe he didnt tell u because the price doesnt matter and all he wants is to make u happy.

Well cookie, why is this a problem? Just common courtesy, you're never supposed to tell someone how much you spent on a gift. It's rude. Where were you born and who raised you? Anyway sweetie, grow up. If you say it doesn't matter, than why are you making it an issue? Do he and yourself a favor and don't ever bring it up again.

Why do you care? in case you imagine that he paid too a lot, you'll likely act bowled over and make him sense undesirable that he overpaid; in case you imagine that he paid too little, you'll likely accuse him of no longer loving you because he gave you a cheep present. have you ever heard the expression that "you should by no ability seem a present horse interior the mouth"? In different words, by no ability criticize a present; in basic terms settle for it graciously.

It is considered rude to say how much the gift cost.
If you are uncomfortable receiving expensive gifts, then tell him.

Well because it's not appropiate, that will mean that you will only care if the give is expencive and not that it came out of the hearth
