Can you do it on the IRS's website for free?

The IRS website offers free filing of tax returns. It is safe and easy. Besure to also file a state return if you are in a taxing state or locality. If you have a simple return doing it yourself is simple but if you have multiple sales of stock or a housing sale or exchange, its best to get a reliable program or use a referred tax preparer.

I'd first ask someone you know who can do it for you free if it's simple. Otherwise, I use Taxact. It's free online but I've used the deluxe version (pay to download) since 2002. I'm no accountant so it's got to be very easy to use and simple and Taxcut surely has been a money saver for my income tax filing.
