Any sect that allows for the belief of modern day visions are very likely the ones who have a very tight control over their membership. this is a very dangerous belief. Preachers like this like to use the old Testament passage of touch not mine anointed to rule as dictators over their church.
Read Hebrew 1:1-3 and you find that in these last days God spoke to us through his Son.
Those who like to use Joel chapter 2 as justification have never read what Peter said in Acts chapter 2. Peter claimed that what the people were witnessing then was the fulfilling of Joel chapter 2.

If anyone doubts a religious vision it is just because they first want to talk to the person about the vision to make sure that is authentic. You can imagine how hard it would be to understand what the erson saw and is thinking. But there have been many such visions, especially Marian apparations, and we recognize the authenticity of the ones that have been scrutinized and found to be truthful.

Because they probably think that Jesus really didn't die on the cross and rise again. Did you know that 60 percent of teens don't believe in the Resurrection and even more of them think the Davinci Code is a real story...I would believe you if you told me this because I am Christian who had something similar happen to me.

Because humans are not perfect, that is the reason Jesus came to earth and died for us. There was no other way, because of the way we are. It doesn't matter what other people think of you, me or anyone else. It's all about you and our "ONE GOD". Humans are weak flakes, we have to accept this and ask forgiveness from our creator and try to be a good person and walk and talk as Jesus did, He is our example in which we need to follow.

It depends on what they say the vision looked like or told them or just what the vision was trying to say. Many people are tricked by false visions.

I'm not religious, and I am openminded, and I am willing to believe in supernatural stuff. I am suspicious of visions of Jesus or the Christian God, though, since I think that they are fabrications.

"And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15Â It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness." 2 Corinthians 11:14-15

Because, unfortunately, a lot of people are crazy and you can't just believe everything you hear.
