The base pay of a 2nd LT or Navy Ensign is $2,469.00 per month.

Plus you will receive a housing allowance.

All Branch's offer Nurse Officer Accession Bonus from $10,000 to $30,000 as a bonus when you enlist. The amount would depend on what service and how long your commitment term was.

Hey.., keep in mind I am just a nursing student at the present time..but my recruiter told me that the first year I would be a 2nd Lt and would gross about 35,000-45,000 that included all the substance allotments as well. If you are already a practicing nurse with a BSN then your rank would be higher and you would make more money...

Pay is according to rank, not experience or profession. If you are a Registered Nurse, you can look into an Officer Commission, which pays much better than enlisted.
You would start at O1 rate which is a 2nd Lietenant..around $2000.00 mo + allowances.

They are paid according to the grade, and that is it. For example, if she is a 1Lt.,she would get the same as all other 1Lt's with the same time in grade. They make a small fractioin of what they would be making in civilian live, which is in the vicinity of $50,000-$100,000 annually.
