They sell those little window and door alarms that run of aaa batteries. We bought a set of 10 at Costco for about $25. They alarm a LOUD obnoxious sound when a door or window is opened. They are about the size of a 9 volt battery and you could mount them to the outside so she doesnt know they are there!

I would suggest a hidden camera, but i dont know if they might think that you are trying to spy on them. My son is 13. He sneaks out every once and a while. I cant seem to catch him sneaking out, but i can catch him sneaking in!

You can buy some relatively inexpensive wireless cameras and set them up in a tree outside, not visible by your teen. The camera can transmit video and images to your computer, if the tree is close enough to your house. The next day, play the video for your teen and take action!

You need to get a nanny cam. Also, set the alarm on at night too. Look online for a nanny cam, and if you look in the right place, you could get it for about $100. Lock the doors/windows at night too.

If you don't mind waking the other members of the household try using those pull-string firecrackers. They're called the "poor man's tripwire". You can get them at most magic/gag/novelty stores. Just tie them to the windows and doors. You'll know when he/she tries to leave; it will probably scare the crap out of 'em.

haha... I used to do this when I was a kid... its all part of growing up. But... to answer your question, make a mental note of the days he/she sneaks out most (I bet its friday or saturday night!), then wait up all night to catch (him/her) or get locks on your windows and doors and hide the keys!

Put a bunch of squeaky toys on the floor outside his bedroom door. When hw tries to sneak out , he will step on them and they will squeak!

I'd suggest putting in some motion detector lights outside, or you could do what I did. I had an alarm system installed. I turn it on every night.

use a hidden camera or you can put an adhesive tape on the door.

if the tape was broken, then there was definitely a breach.
