A result of damage and humidity, frizz occurs when the hair cuticle (outer layer of the hair) no longer lies flat, and is instead rough and uneven.

Your best bet is to start in the shower with a shampoo and conditioner designed to smooth down the hair and tame frizz. Whether for curly or straight hair, there are a lot of great products out there right now. TIGI makes an entire line of smoothing products called "S factor" that are fabulous. For a more affordable alternative, Clairol's Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners are great buys and still work really well.

Using a conditioner regularly is an especially important step as it will help to repair damage and provide extra control, essential to frizzy hair. Leave it on for up to 3-5 minutes if you can. The extra time allows it to penetrate the hair strand more deeply giving you greater benefits.

Also, rinsing hair in cold water before you get out of the shower will help to seal down the hair cuticle giving you shinier, smoother hair.

Once you're out of the shower, I recommend applying John Frieda's Frizz-Ease serum to towel dried hair. They make a regular, light and extra-strength formula so you can get the level of control you need. It's easily the best product I've found for taming frizzy hair.

From here, you can let your hair air dry or blow dry it straight in small sections. If you opt to blow dry, be sure to aim the air flow down the shaft of your hair, again, to help seal down the hair cuticle. A ceramic and/or ion hair dryer can help provide extra smoothness and shininess. And if you're still struggling, you can run a (ceramic) straightening iron over the hair for a final hit of sleekness.

Use creams specially 4 ur kind of hair. DONT wash it everyday coz it make it drier. Before wash it put cold milk on your hair and let it there by 20 minutes and then wash it, and use lots of conditioner. Never forget use hair creams, a generous quantity and cut it every 1-6 months, damaged hair causes dehydration
dehydration = freeze

i know this sounds gross but go back to the good old fashion mayonoise.. if you put a ton of mayo on your hair and use it like you would shampoo.. then rinse it out.. and shampoo/condition afterwards... you hair will be sleek soft and managable.. but only do it once a month tops...

if you realllly don't like the idea of food being in your hair.. then go to walmart and look at the garnier fruitis or john freita products... they're like all about the frizz and they work great too
