A doctor can legally prescribe Vicodin to be used by children over the age of 2 years.
If your asking how old do you have to be to go to a doctor's office and be evaluated to see if Vicodin is indicated for your pain management.....
1. The doctor should be your family doctor
2. Doctors I have spoke with will not hand over a prescription to anyone under the age of 16 without a parent or guardian there (or in phone contact)
And if you plan to go to a community clinic I understand that if you are under 17 they will tell you to go to the nearest hospital ER.
Plus...why ask specifically for Vicodin? It is up to the doctor to decide the proper medication.

The Dr.'s can tell if you are telling the truth or not. So don't just say you need it just because or your in pain because of this or that. They will know or possibly not put you on something that strong or for that long. Because it is so addicting.

It's not about age. It's about medical need. It's also about exhausting all possibilities less strong than Vicodin.
