I had a tooth pulled 4 days ago, and this morning the clot fell out. No bleeding though. If your tooth starts to have a throbbing pain, you may have dry socket. In that case, call your dentist! They will try to make it feel better.

sometimes the wound will actually clean it self by getting rid of the old clot to make room for a new one if you rinse with warm salty water you can help speed the healing process but remember not to put a drawing suction on your mouth for it can cause a dry socket and that is very painful i have had several teeth pulled and i have had to deal with several different types of meds and the simplest thing i can say i have found salty water is the best rinse to help you heal

the clot will fall off eventually.. how worse is the bleeding? you can nibble on some ice chips to prevent bleeding. that way, your blood vessels will constrict.. try not to take warm foods at this time.. plain ice cream will be good.. yoghurt also.. you can use a cotton dipped in ice cold water then pack it..

I dont know why it happened, but if you bite down gently on a teabag it supposed to help slow the bleeding. I used to do that when I was little and losin baby teeth left and right. It did help for some reason.
