Yes because if not your fault you have to reinstall, besides its the same computer so they will be able to recognize it. Dont worry no one will be showing up at your door for making illegal copies of Microsoft or anything. hope this helps, Brodster

i do it all the time, i build computers for people, so i just use that one, and it works
but i did have to call after a few times
actually, come to think of tit haha tit but anyway i had to buy a couple new ones after a while so now i just buy a new cd for every computer
if you r installing it on a different computer, or more than 2 i recommend using windows 2000, its like xp but its a server so all the computers can run on the same cd

yes, it will work for a few re-installs. After that it will have you contact the phone number provided for a verbal activation. As long as you explain that you're just reinstalling and not trying to use the same key on a different machine it should be fine.

You can, but the activation will expire in 30 days, HERE IS A SOLUTION...
Download the XP permanent patcher kit, it generates a key for you and it can change your product key so that you can activate it, you can download it here.
