If a friend's dog pissed on your leg while you were conversing, would you be polite enough not to notice?

I think if your friend thought you didn't notice then your friend would think you were a bit mad.

As a Brit who are the masters of awkward situations of attempted politeness... I would probably just say "Oh..." and take a step away from the dog, to which a friend would say something like "Oh I am so sorry!! Bad Fido, bad boy."

You shouldn't worry about embarassing the dog the dog should learn better.

How would not mentioning that someone's dog just pissed on your leg be polite? Polite is not offending someone else, if you yourself have not been offended first.

I'd definitely say something, but wouldn't make a scene - i.e. wouldn't say "piss" unless it was a good friend! You need to clean yourself up as quick as you can, surely?

Well, I would not let it go unnoticed. that is a little nasty. I would not make a scene...its not like the friend pissed on you. I would definitely
make mention of it!!!

I certainly would notice. I'd laugh my head off, but it wouldn't be impolite to say "Your dig just peed on my leg."

My old senior dog did that to me onece and my teenage kids laughed until they cried.
