We’re like a pre-adolescent child who has not been told outright that Santa Claus is not real, but is beginning to have some doubts of their own about the existence of all mythical entities, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy included. This child stands on the unseen line that separates sinless juvenile simplicity and accountability for ones decisions.
The human race is beginning to realize accountability for their actions in the form of quite dramatic climate change and unprecedented culture difference based violence. Gone are the days of reckless use of seemingly limitless resources and religious harmony is today a laughable concept.
In short, our collective sentience is approaching adolescence. The existence of mythical entities is being doubted. And we are denying accountability for our actions. The planet suffers and the rate of suffering rises exponentially. A solution is there in the form of population control and everybody is aware of it but we keep denying it.
