I am a Christian and I do believe that abortion is a sin and a bad choice, but I also believe that the souls of aborted babies are never in any spiritual danger, and that they go to directly to God. Because of the state of this world, I do believe that abortion should be legal. It will be between the woman and God as to the consequences. It is not our place to decide.

1. No one is ever justified in taking another person's life, no matter what reason they use as a crutch. One of the attempts was made on an abortion doctor in my city...he wasn't killed, but no, that's wrong no matter what. 2. It is not for them to judge...the Bible they live by says 'judge not lest ye be judged'. 3. I personally believe that yes, abortion should be allowed in extreme cases, like in the instance of rape or incest, if the victim chooses. 4. Yes, I believe that if the pregnancy will be fatal for the mother, it should be allowable then. These are about the only times I see abortion as a viable option. I think the rampant use of abortion as a method of birth control these days is absolutely abhorrent. People who have sex consentually should know the possible consequences when they're having it, and be prepared to deal with those consequences. That's just my opinion...if anyone disagrees, that's fine with me. This is just how I feel about it personally. I am not a Christian, by the way.

I'm a Christian, meaning that I believe in Jesus's atonement for our sins, and I try to follow His way. I'm also a supporter of a woman's right to have an abortion. There's a lot of pressure on Christian women to conform to the Right to Life view, but your view of this is not a sin! I remember what it was like before Roe v. Wade. Women had abortions then too, and the ones that had enough money to go to Europe for them had them safely. Those that didn't took their lives in their hands and sometimes died because the amateurs that performed them didn't know enough medically or weren't sterile. Even those doctors that performed illegal office abortions were sometimes so rushed that septicemia killed their patients. Ideally, every pregnancy should end in a happy, healthy, beloved baby - but where that can't happen, the mother should be able to terminate the pregnancy legally.

No, you should not be supporting Abortion except where the life of the mother is in danger.
The statistics in New Zealand state that over 90% of abortions are from pregnancies that weren't the result of rape (I think the exact figure is actually over 99%, but I can't be sure of that).
I suspect the equivalent statistic in USA or most western countries would be about the same.
The Bible is quite plain, the 10 commandments state that you should not murder, Jesus reaffirmed this when he said you should not murder.
If you look in the Old Testament you will see one of the most hated pagan religions (by God) was worship of Baal. Why, when there were probably hundreds of other pagan gods being worshiped over the centuries was this one hated by God so much? Because it killed babies in a terribly cruel and agonising way. If God hates Baal worship then much, do you think he would approve of abortion? Far from it. Do you think he will allow your country to escape being judged for egregious carnage? No, he will not!
Do you love your Neighbor? "Who is my neighbor?" ... First the priest walked past and did nothing ... a Fundamentalist Christian walked past and did nothing ... a Muslim walking along stopped and attended to the dying man ... who was the good neighbor?

Sure, but don't call yourself a Christian. That means Christ-like. God classifies those that have pleasure in those that do these things, just as bad.
Ro 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
He created us to reproduce. And if you want to blindly believe that it isn't mentioned in the bible, go ahead. There are several places God informs us that the he gives a soul to a child from the first day it is in the womb. That means it is murder. Plus, have you read the statistics of what happens to women's health after they have an abortian. The risk for breast cancer increases 50% after an abortian. If they have two abortions the chance triples. Why would you want to support that? Look at the medical and mental sufferings they have to deal with afterwards. My aunt ended up with breast cancer after her second abortion. The statistics don't lie.

yes that thought is a sin. God teaches us that all life is to be treasured human life more then the other forms.
we know that God would not support abortion because of a number of things a couple i will mention here and i hope you will search them out the Holy Bible .
GOD " i knew you before you were born""
"woe be to the pregnant women at that time."
"and she was with child"
there are more things in the bible that clearly show that God knows that life in the womb is of his creation and is human life.
not even God will commit abortions in the end times pregnant women must endure and they don't have the babies removed from them and be taken away from this earth even though they are Christan's. God insists they wait for the child to be born here on earth and not even God will stop the pregnancy so if God wont allow himself to do this why would we think its OK and not a sin and not killing.

I am a Catholic and I do not 'approve of' abortion, but that is 'all me' ... like you, I also believe that 'abortion' should be LEGAL (allowed) because I'd rather that if it MUST happen that it be done in good, clean, and safe conditions, and not with a 'crooked hanger' in a 'back alley' the way it was before Roe vs. Wade brought us legalized abortion. The 'problem' is that even if a person doesn't 'think' she are 'killing a child,' I have NEVER MET a woman who had had an abortion who didn't feel TERRIBLY GUILTY for 'what they did.' And yes, Catholics are Christians ...

No, Christians cannot support abortions. It's so easy for you to support the murder of another unborn baby, especially since you escaped with your life, isn't it? Why do you have more of a right to live than all those unborn babies do?
This is what God says about abortion...
Exodus 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
Kill an unborn baby and you shall be judged. Support the killing of babies and you shall be judged, by the very God you claim to serve.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
I'd seriously rethink your possession on this topic if I were you.

I believe abortion is a sin, since that is killing God's creation. As far as supporting abortion rights, I believe it could be considered a sin if it encourages a sister to have one.

Well, this is tricky but let's admit that many babies die and infant mortality is common in the world, abortion is imperfect and so is our world so I don't see how it is the definining issue here, I think abortion is just a fact of our imperfect bodies, it's not the same as murder but it is not desirable, I think we should instead focus on how society can be improved so that love is the main thing and abortion would naturally be less common. I think love is the answer and not getting mad about abortion when you think about how many suffering mothers have no health care and lose their babies and often die themselves. In other words I don't see how you can get mad about abortion and not be equally as angry about poverty and lack of healthcare.
