If you're Jewish, then you know this was an old Jewish Custom, called kipot, isn't it? that the Muslims got in legacy!?!?
Just like they have the yarmulke for men!?!?
Since you're probably not really a Jew, you don't know that most senior Jewish women wear the kipot, isn't it!?!?
Nice try to promote the hijab, though!?!?

It depends on why you wear it ,if u think it is modest ok,if u like the style or how u look like ,plus it is not a big deal to cover your head, also it may be a tradition, and people who wear it ,dont know why they wear it, christian women used to wear it for the purpose of modesty many years ago, but remember that the view or how people look like is not the important thing ,the important thing is how are you inside ,your behaves you way of life the way you think ,this is the important

Hijab and “head cover” in general is nothing but a national outfit and a cultural matter that represents values and beliefs of a nation, not a Devine ordered virtue. I'm Muslim BTW

You must have the courage to live according to your beliefs.
I know a good christian young woman who covers her arms and legs always, wearing long skirts and no makeup. I don't agree with that but she does it for much of the same reason muslim women cover their heads. I guess she does not want to be judged by physical beauty but by who she really is. I think she is very courageous to do that in this society.

Islam's reason for the Hijab is not honorable its sickening. It teaches that women should wear hijab and if they dont its their fault if they get raped. That is sickening-blaming the rape victim for the crime committed against her.
The Quran
33:59: O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Some Christian women cover their heads and dress modestly - not to the extent of the hijab, but it is done. I think you should do whatever you feel is right for you, and don't worry about what others think.

Why mix apples and oranges? Why bring religion into any discussion, the object of which is to give you reason to wear something on your head. If that would cause confusion with friends and family, I would look for mode accepting friends and family.

Well, if you feel that it suits you, go ahead and do it. If family and friends are wondering what happened to you, just tell them that you felt like trying this out and really like that style. I think you should not worry too much about what anyone thinks as you cannot please everyone on earth. Do what you think right, people will come to terms with it sooner or later.
Good luck

Some more conservative women in the Catholic Church are beginning to cover their heads in church... and before I moved from my home state, there was a "movement" of women within a local Catholic Church who were covering their heads all the time... their conviction was similar to that of Islam, but based on their Bible.
