Well he is a kitten and kittens tend to be playfull. They will do this until they get older bite on stuff. The best way to get them to not bite is to buy some bitter apple from a pet store and spray a little bit in there mouth. This should take care of the problem

This may sound silly but you should bite the kitten back on the paw. Then say no and glare your teeth. If the kitten bites you again repeat and glare your teeth The kitten will get the message. I am not saying bite the paw off just hard enough to make the kitten realize the pain.

Your kitten sounds very normal And they usually do want to bite everything at that age . you can start using the word "no" firmly when you catch the kitten biting something and moving the kitty away from the object. It takes time for the kitten to understand, just be patient and repetitive with the word no. Both of my cats understand that word from my discipline.

best wishes with your new baby.

Not much you can do. Kittens tend to chew on things. One of the reasons could very well be that he is getting new teeth. They loose their teeth just like children do. You just don't very often notice it because they are so small.

He will get over it, but in the mean time you can use the apple bitters on places that he chews, tap him on the nose, or use a spray bottle of water.

It's not bad for a kitten to bite. It's completly normal. Right now your kitten is teething so he is getting rid of his 'milk' teeth and starting to get his adult teeth. He'll grow out of it. Just don't let him think that it's ok for him to keep on biting.

You can get a spray that has a bitter taste and smells like windex but will not hurt your kitten. It is called Grannick's Bitter Apple spray and it is sold by Pets Mart. It work great and it stops them from biting things once you spray it on. http://www.bitterapple.com/ to find out more. I have used it when my big german shephard was 9 weeks old.

He will probably grow out of it. Biting is common with most kittens

Is he biting playfully? Or like he wants to chew through it? Either way, kittens usually grow out of it. If he is really chewing, tapping firmly on their nose is discipline, but not too harsh. What ever you do, DO NOT KICK HIM!!! NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER KICK YOUR CAT!! That would probably increase bad behavior.

Bop him on the nose, and tell him sternly "bad!" whenever he bites something he's not supposed to.

With no mother cat to keep him in line, it's up to you to do the disciplining.
