did i hurt him?

okay, i haven't seen him in 10 years but kept in touch. just recently got back in touch. to my surprise, had a business trip to bring him local.he lives across the country. i never expected it. i am in relationship, always loved him though. never let go. while here it was impossible to see him. he says i made no effort i did, but i just couldn't bring myself to seeing him leave again. he called 10 times a day to ask if i was coming. the last day, i said the feelings i had were still too strong andit's just not a good idea, keeping in mind that his feelings were never put up front. I always felt he loved me, but never confirmed, he knows my feelings. anyways he said i made no effort to try to make it over and that he came 3,000 miles and i should have been able to make it 100. now i called him first to get back in touch, never thinking he would make it out here. So do you think he's hurt or just mad? he got on the plane today and i haven't heard a word... should i just not even try?

If you care about your current relationship, be sure the other guy knows you are just wanting to be friends. It's possible to be friends with someone you once loved. Your love just morphs into this amazing respect and care.

He may not have answered because he didn't get the message yet...If you called his cell, well...you know how dependable those things are! :-)

Sounds like you are confused and I think that he is hurt that you didnt want to see him. If you are already in a relationship why are you contacting him? You need to get your head straight and decide what you want to do. Either continue your relationship and leave this guy alone or breakup and apolijize to this guy and have a heart to heart talk with him. I rekindeled a romance after two years of not seeing or talking with an ex and we have been happily married for 15 years. Good luck!
