You didn't get a good comforter. They carry cheapos and nice ones as well. You should go back to BBB...they will let you upgrade to a better one even if you have used the old one. I was there this weekend and their really nice hypoallergenic ones are 40% off.

Fill Power is NOT how many feathers, it's the QUALITY of the down. Good down lofts higher than poorer quality down. So the better the fill power, the fluffier it will be without adding more down or more weight.

Look for high fill power AND high thread count. The higher the thread count, the less the comforter will shed the down. Look for hypoallergenic, as these are superclean and odor free. Look for GOOSE down, not duck down. If it doesn't say what kind it is, it's duck.

Lastly, all down MUST be covered with a duvet. The oils from our skin degrade down and make it flat like a pancake, and heavier in weight. So if you liked your comforter at first, and no longer do, could it be that you didn't use a duvet and it has gotten weird feeling?

Go back to BBB. Look for a brand called Season's. Pacific coast is another good brand you can find lurking around. If you trade in your old one and get a good one on clearance, you may only pay 20 or 30 bucks to upgrade. Nice deal!

What's you price limit? I've been looking for down comforters and noticed prices vary widely. You have to look at the fill number, how many feathers they shove into the tubes. Also the type of feathers will cause price change. Feathers or feathers and down are far less expensive than down. The down varies with Eider down being premium, but I'm not spening a $1,000 for a comforter.

Smargbargains as mentioned above has had some nice ones lately. My vary favorite came from Eddie Bauer years ago. I'm not sure they even carry them anymore.

Actually Monday I happened into a Mervyns during their bedroom sale and after scouring and comparing I found a down comforter I'm most pleased with..........so far.

Duvet covers have been harder to find. Once again, do a google for those. I purchased one from LandsEnds years ago, a flannel, and the thing wears like iron. But now I'm tired of it.

Buy the brand of comforter named Pacific Coast.

10 year warrantee!!!
That is a top quality down. I have had mine for over 10 years and am very happy with it.
I buy my duvet at Linens and Things. I got the comforter there too.

Where can i buy nice comforter ?

The best place to buy cheap Down Comforters online is at Amazon.com who stock a massive collection of comforters from leading brands.

The comforter chosen for a bed will likely become the focal point of the bedroom decor.

Thicker and warmer than a quilt, comforters are the most common type of bed covering. Comforters are filled with either synthetic fibers or down

Down comforters vary greatly in price and quality. The fill power, the space one ounce of down occupies in cubic inches, determines the warmth of a down comforter. Down comforters with higher fill power measurements are fluffier, and they will last longer and provide more warmth at lighter weights. A fill power of 800+ is considered superb quality, 700+ excellent quality, and 600+ good quality. To prevent the down from leaking out over time, choose a down comforter with a high thread count casing.

I hope you find a Down Comforter in the size and budget you were looking for.

properly, you're saying you want Turquoise and warm pink. i'd say thoses coloration might want to seem kinda cool yet really of warm pink you should bypass with a diminished pink. wish this permits you :) P.S. you should do an really sturdy and funky layout alomost everyone might want to bypass with it you would possibly want to do strips or polka dots. some thing that you want
