My class just learned about some of the characteristics of nonvascular plants and I just want to know what the characteristics of seed plants were. Anyone feel like sharing?

Yes. Seed plants are divided into two main groups: angiosperms and gymnosperms. Together they are spermatophytes which is a division of vascular plants. Nonvascular plants such as bryophytes reproduce themselves generally by spores, whereas spermatophytes (seed-bearing plants) reproduce as the name suggests by seed dispersal. Seed dispersal can take place inside a fruit or berry that an animal eats and eliminates somewhere else right in its own fertilizer, or it can take place by wind transporting the seeds to new areas for plants of its kind to grow. Pollination is also an important way certain angiosperms reproduce themselves. You see a bee or hummingbird will get some of the pollen on it and then transfer the pollen to another flower.

All plants that grow from seeds, And that is practically every plant will germinate. If they don't its a combination of ground temperature, air temperature, moisture, type of soil, type of plant. Not everything can grow everywhere. If they could pineapples would be grown in Alaska. It all depends on a lot of things. Keep trying though. You prob will amaze yourself.
